Tong Hsiao Beach park is situated about 30 minutes drive north of Tai-
chung and has become our preferred spot for Windsurfing and Kitesurfing in the Summer.

    When there is no wind in the South and other areas of Taiwan , Tong Hsiao can be experiencing a steady 20 knt breeze. This is perfect for windsurfing courses and Kitesurfing.

      Starting this year Liquid Sports has made Tong Hsiao its base for Wind-
surfing and Kitesurfing instruction. Working closely with the team of Life-
guards , we make the sports as safe as possible -- We advise and per-
suade our guests to use the mobile phone bags so that they can contact the beach in the case of emergency – Within minutes , a Jetski can be dispatched to the scene ( there is a rescue fee of NT$400 to cover rescue expenses). We are therefore the only setup on the west coast with Full lifesaving facilities - something that has already proven useful.

      In addition to the Lifesaving facilities , Tong Hsiao has camping grounds and many other facilities including Restaurant , Shower and Changing rooms and also some bungalows for rent.

      Already this year we have a full program for windsuring instruction with over 100 students either signed up or completing the course. With the friendly atmosphere , we are finding an ever growing crowd as newcomers are staying on to further experience the thrill of wind and kite surfing.

      Those who decide to become a dedicated windsurfer (and purchase equipment) can join the Funboard Association and receive the benefit of free entry into the Park.
